Dropping in a bit early with a preview for next month's pattern as I will be out of town over the first of the month for a small (much needed) break. Rest assured that Pattern Club will release on time, though.

I'm sure it's no surprise that one of my favorites of Poe's works is The Mask of the Red Death, for which I had far too much inspiration to only do for a single pattern. So our final three patterns of the year will be inspired by this, one of his most famous works, beginning with the Pestilence collar.

And yes, I had quite a lot of fun creating the "blood" splatters. 😀

I know September is a busy month for most of us with summer activities ending and school starting up, so I wanted to keep this month's pattern something fairly quick and easy to work up. Reverie is a little motif that works as a coaster or mini doily, but I'm sure ya'll will come up with some other great applications for it! Personally, the design reminds me of stained glass windows, so I think it would be pretty made with translucent beads and hung up in a window to catch the light.
