This month's pattern is a brooch pin inspired by the mourning traditions of the Victorian era. Although I did take some liberties in making this version in red rather than all black 🤭

Irene is a pretty little hair clip featuring a layered three dimensional design. The double curl chains make this pattern a bit challenging, but I will also be posting a video tutorial on this technique.

I've done this design as a collar for the pattern, but it would work up beautifully as cuffs or an edging as well. (I may also have a secret alternate version I'll be sharing later in the month 🤫 )

Because these sold out so quickly, I've decided to open a second round of preorders, with expected shipping on this batch by April. (I've already placed orders for the supplies, but considering the recent shipping delays across the board for a variety of reasons and some travel plans, a longer ship by date seemed prudent.)

While planning this collection, I really wanted to give you all some new types of projects and ideas. This pattern is designed to fit most ballet or slipper style shoes, but could easily be adapted to fit lots of other styles! I'm looking forward to seeing you all get creative with it!

I’ve been a super knitter and crocheter for years. And I have just gotten into Tatting. And I have practiced 30 min to an hour a day for the past 2 weeks. And I'm getting substantially better!! Your videos are so clear and helpful. I purchased a magnifying glass with a light, so that does help for when I mess up. In your pattern of the month club is there a video tutorial? I understand your videos on how to read patterns, it’s just when I am first learning something I really do like watching a video. It helps. When I get to the intermediate level then I enjoy the written patterns more.
