I tried tatting a few years back when covid first started and I loved it, but had to stop due to work and school. Now that I'm done with school and have a stable job I can do hobbies again, and decided to go back into tatting. Absolutely love the tutorials and patterns.

This was my current wip but I had to stop due to the thread pulling on accident. Can't wait to try it some old tatting patterns now that I know how to mostly read a pattern

Hi! That looks so pretty!

New here, wanted to say hi and also... thanks.

Hi there. I just joined up. I learned to shuttle tat in December of 2023 using various youtube links, blog posts/websites and creators on twitch. The biggest thing that has helped me is videos posted by Sparrow on Youtube. I keep getting frustrated and quitting and took a year long break because of this. But, I recently returned to tatting in honor of International Tatting Day. I finally am really getting the hang of it. This week, I decided to try a more intricate pattern and purchased and altered Sparrow's Opulence pattern into a choker. It's not completely done yet, but I love it so much that I just want to share it. I still want to add the dangles at the bottom and have to figure out closures, etc. but that's all I've got left. Finally, thanks, Sparrow. Your videos have helped me figure out the things that frustrated me…

Welcome. I like Sparrow's Videos, too. They are a great Teacher and always had a great solution to my questions😉

I made this but I'm not quite sure if I like the bigger Pearls or not. They're garnets. Also not sure if it will become an Pendant or a pair of Earrings.

I think it would make a nice pendant because of the larger beads. Very beautiful job!

help (chain issues)

so I got the hang of flipping the stitch. I’m onto making chains, and I can do a loop, and flip the stitch with another bobbin, and then when I go to do the second loop, I try to pull the loop closed and it pulls too far away. Should I be flipping the stitches on that loop too?
